Jesus is the centre of everything we do at MBC but everyone seems to have a different opinion on him: therapist-Jesus, moral-teacher-Jesus, stained-glass-window-Jesus, vegetarian-Jesus, political-Jesus, Sunday-only-Jesus...
With so many opinions we reckon it's best to let Jesus speak for himself.
He never wrote his own book, but much of what he did and spoke was recorded in the Bible by people who saw and witnessed him firsthand.
In those accounts, Jesus claimed to be God (and he acted like it too), he claimed to rule you, love you, forgive you and offer you eternal life.
"God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
John chapter 3, verse 16
These are huge turn-your-life-upside-down kinda claims! But as massive as they are, these claims received incredible support when Jesus rose from the dead.
